The Lounge is located at the former summer home and retreat of President Buchanan.

James Buchanan Jr. served as the 15th President of the United States from 1857 to 1861. Born on April 23, 1791, in Cove Gap, Pennsylvania, he embarked on a diverse and extensive career in public service. Prior to his presidency, Buchanan practiced law in Pennsylvania and held positions in both houses of the U.S. Congress. Additionally, he served as Secretary of State under President James K. Polk.
